Did you know that you can have a personal relationship with your Heavenly Father right now? You don’t need to be baptized. You don’t need a priest. You don’t need to give a confession. You don’t need to knock on any doors or hand out any pamphlets. You don’t have to be “religious.” You don’t even have to have lived a very “good” life. In fact, you can never be “good enough.” Ever. We are all sinners. No one is clean. No one can earn it. In fact, there is only one requirement for an instant, lifelong, eternal relationship with the Father.
Accept His Son. That’s it. There is no more to it.
In John 14:6, Jesus states simply and clearly: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.” (NCV)
In John 3:16, the Apostle John confirms for us: “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.” (NCV)
Accepting God’s FREE gift – mercy and grace through Jesus, who took the punishment for all your sins, died on the cross and rose from the dead to make a place for you in heaven – is all you need to do. It’s the only thing you can do. You only need to say “Yes!”
Would you like to be guaranteed a place in heaven forever with your Father? Would you like to have a personal relationship with Him now in this life, immediately?
If you haven’t already and you are ready to accept God’s invitation and live with Him forever, pray this simple prayer:
Dear God, I agree with you. I am a sinner. Forgive me for my sins. I willingly turn them over to you now. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the grave to rule over everything with you forever in heaven. I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Please plant your Holy Spirit in my heart now, this day and forever. And help me to grow in strength and knowledge of you, to bear fruit, and glorify your Holy Name all the days of my life. Amen.
That’s it. You are now assured a place in your Father’s Kingdom forever.
In John 10:27-28, Jesus assures you that you are His forever when he says: “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” (NIV)
There are no sins you can commit that will ever spoil it for you. However, now, if you prayed the prayer, the Holy Spirit is in you, and you owe it to your Father to live a life worthy of His name. That’s not to say that “doing good” will make you any more saved. It’s only to say that you will be bearing out His presence in you through your “new heart,” in how you act as you live out the rest of your days.
So, if you prayed the acceptance prayer and believed it in your heart, brother or sister, I congratulate you. And I encourage you to live a worthy life. Read 2 Peter 1:5-10 for a useful life plan to help you achieve this goal. I am so happy for you.
Your Father loves you!
